The Challenge

Global health organizations struggle to solve the world’s biggest health problems, not just because of a lack of money, but because they don’t work together effectively.

The global health community is often fragmented, with organizations working in silos and duplicating efforts. This is a missed opportunity for progress.

Local and community-based groups, which have crucial on-the-ground knowledge, are often left out of funding and key networks. Meanwhile, larger organizations that want to partner with them often lack the right strategies to do so.

To truly improve global health, we need a more collaborative approach. This means prioritizing transparency, building equitable partnerships, and sharing resources to create a more effective, inclusive, and cooperative ecosystem for everyone.

The Opportunity

Working together is the solution. By shifting from competition to collaboration, global health organizations can share resources and knowledge to speed up progress.

This approach helps larger organizations team up with smaller, local partners who have crucial on-the-ground expertise. These community-based groups are great at creating culturally appropriate programs, but they need resources to expand their life-saving work.

True collaboration also ensures that funding and new ideas are distributed more fairly, reaching the communities most in need. By fostering trust and transparency, we can build a more inclusive, effective, and impactful global health system for all.

Our Mission

To bring together diverse health-focused organizations and individuals that share a spirit of collaboration and empowerment, to support and partner with low resource communities globally.

Our Vision

We are a global coalition of individuals and organizations dedicated to promoting sustainable health care and wellness in low-resource communities to ensure the people we serve can receive care regardless of their ability to pay.

In 2021, the Together for Global Health network merged with the Compassionate Birth Network, a strategic decision that significantly enhanced the collective impact on maternal and child health. The Compassionate Birth Network, convened by Global Force For Healing, brought to the partnership a powerful vision: a world where all women, regardless of their circumstances, have access to quality, woman-centered care, where all babies are welcomed with love, and where communities thrive.

Their focus on amplifying community-based partners through resource sharing, advocacy, and capacity building directly aligns with the Together for Global Health network’s mission to unite diverse health-focused organizations and individuals in collaborative support of low-resource communities globally. The merger strengthened the shared vision of promoting sustainable healthcare and wellness, ensuring that people receive care, particularly in the crucial area of maternal health, irrespective of their ability to pay, working towards a world where preventable maternal and infant deaths and disabilities are eliminated.
